Caregiving in a Pandemic: What's Next for Diverse Caregivers
As this is part of the listening session series “Caregiving in a Pandemic”, this webinar will focus on how caregivers can self-advocate to increase political investment in supports for diverse caregivers, providing self-advocacy tools. This webinar will also provide tailored resources for diverse unpaid/paid caregivers providing financial and emotional & physical health supports during the pandemic and as we progress towards a post-pandemic world.

Speakers include:
Captain Susan V. Karol, MD, FACS, Chief Medical Officer for the CMS Division of Tribal Affairs. As an enrolled member of the Tuscarora Indian Nation, Dr. Karol is a Captain the United States Public Health Service who serves to improve the healthcare of American Indians and Alaska Natives

Robert Espinoza, VP of Policy at PHI, where he oversees its national advocacy, and public education on the direct care workforce.

Latoya Thomas, Director of Policy & Government Affairs at Doctor on Demand

Lisa Schifferle, Senior Policy Analyst at CFPB for Older Americans, where she leads the Managing Someone Else's Money program and supports work to combat elder financial exploitation.
